REVIEW - O'Keeffe's Company Working Hand Cream !!

Hi Girlz,

Today ,as the caption suggests , i am reviewing the " O'Keeffe's Company Working Hand Cream ".
Before i start up with the actual review part i want to share with you my actual skin type.I have dry sensitive skin .I am also a person who washes hands frequently.So as a result i always had very dry and rough hands.I had been trying many hand creams and i finally thought of reviewing this one for you guys.

Price And Availability-  It is available at all the drugstores-Walmart,Walgreens,CVS etc. I picked mine from Walmart for $6.47 for 2.7 oz.

Claims- The Hand cream has certain claims -

•  Designed to effectively relieve dry hands that crack and split
• Absolutely odorless
• Hypoallergenic
• Non-greasy
• Stimulates the skin's natural repair process by hydrating the skin, adjusting pH balance and retaining moisture.

After using for a year i firmly believe that the cream does all that it claims.

Ingredients: 

Water, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Ammonium Stearate, Ammonium Borate, Dimethicone, Ceteth-10, Laureth-4, Paraffin Wax, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Allantoin, Octyldodecyl Stearate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate.

Texture- The cream has a thick non-greasy texture and is milky white in color.It is a little solid when u scoop it out but once you rub it in your hands it feels extremely soft and hydrating.

Pros-

• I have been using this for a year now and it has made my hands super soft.
• Also after a while i started using it on my cracked heels and guess what it has made my heels super soft and smooth.I prefer to apply it on my heels and entire feet after bath and i try to keep my feet covered with socks for just half an hour .After just that my heels feel super moisturized and soft to touch.
• Keeping the fact in mind that it is such an affordable product it works awesome for my long lived unresolved problem of dry hand and cracked heels.

Cons- 

• The cream comes in a tub packaging which for some may be unhygienic. 

I absolutely love this cream and totally recommend to all to try it out .

Heena and Egg Hair Mask - Hair Care Routine Part 2 !!!

Hi Girlz,

Today i am going to share another ritual from my hair care routine and that is applying this Heena Egg Mask for controlling hair fall.

Heena has been used now for a long time for its known hair care benefits some of which are -

-For coloring the hair in the most safest ,quickest and the natural way as it has no toxins or chemicals.

-Its is supposed to reduce or eliminate dandruff and scalp infections.

-Constant application results in less hair breakage and makes hair stronger.

-Promotes growth due to anti-fungal and antibacterial properties.

-Thickens hair

-Since i have very wavy hair whenever i apply heena it loosens up my wave's and i really enjoy that.

-It is also considered to be an amazing conditioner for your hair.

Now lets get into how i make the Heena Egg Mask.

I use the Nupur Heena from godrej which i buy from my local Indian Store.

Just take the required quantity in a pan .

Then soak a black tea bag in hot water and keep it aside for 5 min.

Then add the black tea to this heena powder and make a thick paste.

Keep this paste overnight and then next day before applying the heena add i whole egg to this heena paste and apply the paste to your hair.Leave the hair till the heena paste gets completely dry and wash it off with your favorite shampoo.

I would suggest applying this pack only twice a month as heena is suppose to give you a very cooling effect.I do not recommend applying this in the winter time for the same reason.

Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer With Monoi Oil

Hi Girlz,

Today i am sharing my thoughts on the 'Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer With Monoi Oil'.

This product was sent to me complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

This is a very different, form of the inshower moisturizer, from the one's i have used till now.

Price and Availability-It is available at the different drugstore.I checked it online at at Walgreens it is listed for $7.99 whereas at walmart it is for $6.84  for 10 FL Oz.It comes in three different types  -Monoi oil,Green Tea Oil and Coconut oil.

How to Apply-The method to apply it is different.It had to be applied on wet skin( as the name suggests) after showering but before drying off.There is no need to rinse it off.Simply pat dry and you are ready to go.

Smell-It has a nice subtle smell which is not too overwhelming.

My Experience- First of all it was so difficult to train my mind to use the moisturizer in a different way than i am used too.. lol. Anyways i applied as directed .I have to say that the product is very creamy .My skin did feel a lot softer as i have extremely dry skin and i think this method worked great for it.My skin did have a glow afterwards.But i have to say that the excess moisturizer is wiped off with your towel which means it gets on to your towel and i did not like that feeling ( i have an OCD for cleanliness ).Also i did find that it irritated my freshly shaved skin a little as i have super sensitive skin.

Overall- I do like this product but is it really necessary to add on if you already have moisturizers lying around.That's a question to consider.If you are one like me who loves to try new products ,it surely is worth trying ,you won't be disappointed.

PINCHme Box Review !!

Hi Girlz,

A month ago Pinch me sent me some products for testing purposes.Today i am sharing my view on those.All the products came in the beautiful box,very well packed.

Lets get started.

1.Mr.Bubble 3 in 1 Body wash,shampoo and Conditioner-I really like it as a body wash .But i cannot use the same product on my hair.My hair is very frizzy and requires a lot of conditioning.This does not provides enough conditioning for my hair but as a body wash its excellent.Its fun to take bath with it ,as it gives lots of bubble's.It surely will be a great product for the Kids.

2.Secret Clinical Strength Invisible Solid Deodorant-Totally lives up to the claim of 'Goes on dry and stays dry'.Since the time i got it,i carry it in my purse on the go.I apply it in the morning and its stays all day.Love It.My skin is sensitive and i get rashes from solid deo's but this one did not give me any rashes.I am happy i got this.

3.Gold Bond Ultimate Healing Skin therapy Cream-This Cream has Vitamin A,C & E, that i really like about it.It has almost no scent to it.I applied it on my heels and they felt great.It is very moisturizing .I would say its a good product for people with dry skin but not people with oily skin.Overall,a product that suits my dry skin.People with eczema are going to love this.

4.Skinfix Hand Repair Cream-It claims to be clinically proven to treat dry cracked skin & eczema but unfortunately it did not do anything for my dry skin.I used it for a whole week with no results at all.It claims that it is fragrance free but for me it had an odd medicinal smell.

Overview of my skin-I have a dry skin with oily Tzone .My

Application-I apply it regularly once a day (usually at night ) 

after washing my face with my facewash. Then i pat dry and 

apply this serum and let it sit for a few minutes ,so that all 

the goodness get absorbed by my skin and finish off by 

applying my moisturizer.


Results-It moisturizes and hydrates my skin very well.I have 

seen a reduction in my under eye puffiness .My fine lines 

around the corner of my eyes are much

less noticeable.There is a slight tightening 

& tingling feeling after I apply it to my clean face.It does 

not sting or burn ,just has a tightening type of feeling.My 

skin has a little more glow.It truly lives upto its claims.


Overall-I am very happy with the results and totally

recommend the product.The benefits are great compared to

the price.Its so affordable.I received this complimentary for

My hair care routine-Part1 !

Hi Girlz,

Today i am sharing with you guys part of my hair care routine.In this post i am sharing only one of the many products i use in my hair care regime .That is why i have labeled it as part 1.I will be continuing this series until i share all the products i use in my hair care routine.

One of my go to holy grail product is 'Castor Oil'.

I have very dry,,frizzy and unruly hair. After many years of struggling with hair fall , dandruff and using multiple products to combat the weird combo of oily scalp and dry hair ends,castor oil has become a staple in my hair care routine.As what i have learned from my research ,Castor oil is derived from the seeds of castor plant.It helps in promoting hair growth.Massaging this oil in the scalp helps in blood circulation to the hair follicles,thereby promoting hair growth.The oil contains omega 6 fatty acid which helps in nourishing the hair.Castor oil also has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.Therefore it helps in treating dandruff and other scalp problems.

You can use any brand of castor oil.I prefer the sunny isle castor oil that i buy from amazon,since i have been using this brand for a long time now and i really like it.It comes in a tinted bottle to prevent it from sun exposure ,so that it does not go bad.Castor oil is very thick in consistency,So it cannot be used alone on the hair.I usually mix equal parts of Castor,Olive and Almond oil and heat it up for a few seconds and then apply this concoction on the scalp and the ends of my hair.I prefer to use the Now foods Almond oil(If you can get the cold press oil please get that as cold press is best for hair )

I saturate my hair completely with this mixture and then wrap my head with a moist warm towel .This way the pores of my scalp opens up and all the goodness of this oil mixture are able to penetrate .After keeping the oil applied on my hair for around 2 to 3 hrs ,i finally wash my hair with a clarifying shampoo.This oil concoction helps to nourish and condition my hair as my hair is very dry and frizzy. Over the years its has helped my hair to grow thicker and stronger.

You can use any brand of extra virgin olive oil .I use the Kirkland Brand.Again organic and extra virgin is the best.

Both Olive oil and Almond oil are also the powerhouse of hair health.

Please note that you can combine any other oils with castor oil like coconut,avocado oil etc.Any oil that suits your scalp can be combined or taken awat from this concoction except castor oil which the hero here.

Vasanti Brighten Up Exfoliating Cleanser review !

Today i am sharing with you all my thoughts on the 'Vasanti Brighten Up Exfoliating Cleanser ' which i got in my Birchbox for the month of May 2015.Please click here to see the full post for Birchbox.

Just to give you a background of my skin type,i have pretty reactive skin and it reacts to anything harsh.Its dry ,acne and rosacea prone skin.So i use very mild cleansers and exfoliators on my skin.

Vasanti Brighten Up Exfoliating Cleanser is enriched with Papaya,micro-crystals and aloe .The sample i received in the birchbox has 20g of product. It is Paraben free and Sulfate free.It is 99 % natural.It is made in Canada.

Vasanti Brighten Up Exfoliating Cleanser claims to brighten up with powerful papaya enzymes to give radiance.It claims to dramatically improve your skin's texture.

My experience-I have used it a few times now.It is recommended to use a pea size amount but i ended up using more than that ,may be twice the pea size but i still feel that 20g of product will last me a long time as i use it twice a week.I use it with my fingers and massage it over my face for 2 to 3 minutes and then i just wash it off. Its micro-beads are as fine as fine salt.The exfoliator is white in color and has a sticky consistency.

A little tip is that if you have very sensitive skin like mine just use it over wet face.Always remember that if you want a gentle exfoliation use the exfoliator over wet skin as using over dry skin will give you a harsh exfoliation.After washing off my face with this ,my skin feels rejuvenated as the cleanser claims.
It is as good as getting a professional facial.It comes in a tube.I love its packaging as it is very sanitary to use and dispenses just the right amount of product.Also its easy to store in the shower.The only thing that i did not like about product is the smell. It has a very strong lemon cleanser kind of smell which is a little off putting.But i can bear with it keeping in mind what it does for my skin.

After using this my skin felt baby soft ,healthy looking and just wonderful.My skin did not feel dry at all after using it.

Cerave Hydrating Cleanser And Lotion Review !

Today i am sharing with you guys the cleanser and facial lotion i have been using for the past three and a half years now .I want to give you guys a brief background on my skin type. I have an acne prone ,sensitive skin with rosacea.So with all those skin issues combined ,i just cannot use any cleansers with acne fighting salicylic acid and/or benzoyl peroxide , as it reacts adversely with rosacea prone skin.So after trying a ton of drugstore and prescription cleansers , i finally got hooked to this skincare regime.I incorporate both these products in my skincare regime both morning and evening.

First lets look into the facial cleanser that i use.I use the 'Cerave hydrating cleanser' for Normal to dry skin.It has 12 Fl Oz of product and retails for $ 8.09 at my local walmart.It comes with a pump which i feel is very sanitary and easy to use.It has a milky white gel like consistency and on mixing it with water it does not lather up.

Among other ingredients it has ceramides and hyaluronic acid which helps to retain moisture in the skin,which is very important for dry ,rosacea prone skin.It has helped me to a great extent to not only keep my acne and rosacea at bay but also prevents my skin from drying.After washing my face with the cleanser , my face feels moisturized and does not feel dry at all.

After using this cleanser,i moisture my face with the 'Cerave moisturizing lotion' for normal to dry skin.This lotion also has the ceramides and hyaluronic acid technology which helps further repair the skin.It also has 12 Fl Oz of product and retails for $9.14 at my local walmart.It also comes with a pump and is a white creamy lotion.

You need a very little amount of lotion to moisture your entire face.After first applying , it takes a little while to get absorbed into the skin ,leaving the skin very soft and supple.

This moisturizer also acts a makeup primer and i do not use any other primer to prep my skin for applying my makeup.Also when i use this combo of cleanser and moisturizer at night ,in the morning my skin feels extremely soft .

Both these products are easily available at drugstores like walmart,walgreens,cvs,target etc as well as online .

Hope my experience with these products help someone who is battling with rosacea ,dry and acne prone skin.Also please keep in mind that different products react differently on different type of individuals.I also use a face mask few times a week in conjunction with these products ,which i have already reviewed on my blog.If you missed out on that post you can click here to see that.
