Hi Stylebees,
Today i am reviewing my much loved 'Rev-A-Shelf Cabinet Metal Pull Out Drawers'.I am glad i got so many comments to Update my home organization section. It makes me so happy to know that you guys are enjoying it. So without making it too long lets get started.
My Little Story-I recently shifted to my new place and the first thing i was keen about buying were these cabinet drawers.I have always struggled with things falling to the extreme back of my bottom cabinets and me never using them .If i really wanted to use something lying at the back ,i had to first take all the things out from the front and then take the thing out for use and do the same drill of putting things back, which use to take a lot of time and effort.
So i finally decided to get these pull out metal drawers which were not only sturdy enough to hold a lot of stuff but also were so convenient to organize( You guys know i am an organizing freak ) and reach for.I could see and grab all the stuff that was stored in my bottom cabinet so easily .
Price -The price of these pull out drawers is different depending upon the size you go for which in turn varies according to your cabinet size.Be sure to leave an Inch space off while calculating the size. You can check out the price by clicking here.
Availability-It is available at different store like Lowes,Homedepot etc.It is also available online at +Amazon.com and www.rev-a-shelf.com . I bought mine from +Lowe's Home Improvement
How to Install-It has a complete guide inside the box on how to install it .As in the pictures below my dear hubby installed these for me (please excuse his hairy arms :) ) .
You will need- A Screwdriver/driller and a tape measure.
Step1-I would suggest first place the entire drawer with the tracks and mark the screw holes with a pencil. Also check that the drawer is not too much towards the front so that you can easily close your cabinet drawer.
Step 2-Take the drawers out from the tracks by a simple click button located on the sides(please read the manual for it ) .Place the tracking inside the cabinet exactly where you want your drawer to lay and screw it down in the front and the back.
Woot Woot you are all set to use your pull out drawers, its that simple.
That's it for this one, till by very next, thank you so much for all your lovely comments,do keep them coming.

Hi Girlz,
Today I am sharing with you something which i love doing all the time-Home Décor.I personally believe that decorating a house adds on your touch to the house.Where ever you go throughout your day ,your home is a place for ultimate relaxation and peace of mind.So your surroundings should always be welcoming and beautiful.
So today i will share how i painted one of the walls of my bedroom with a bold pink color-from my favorite color family-Pink and also three different style's of stencils.I am obsessed with the color pink since my childhood and the obsession continues to grow.
Below is a picture of the wall painted only with a base color -beige.
Now lets start painting the wall.
STEP 1-Grab all that you need for painting-I am including here a complete list of the stuff that you would require for painting. All this stuff is easily available at Lowe's.
- Paint Brush-Small regular
- Paint Brush-Angled
- Paint Tray
- Painting tray Liners
- Paint Rollers
- Paint Rollers Covers
- Painter's Tape and Scissors
- Drop Cloth
- Gloves
- Stirrer for paint
- Face Mask if you are allergic ,like me,to paint.
- Ladder if you need them.
- And Last But definitely not the least Paint .Please note that you would require a primer only if you are changing your wall color from dark to light.Otherwise you can do without primer.
STEP 2- Prep Work- I started my 'project paint' by covering my wood floor with plastic floor guards called drop cloth with painter's tape all around the wall that i was planning to paint. You do not want to miss this step otherwise you will end up spoiling your floors .
STEP 3-Place the tray liner in the Paint tray,Stir the paint with a stirrer and pour sufficient amount of paint .Close tightly the lid of the paint tub otherwise there is a risk of paint drying up.
STEP 4-Start by painting all four corners of the wall with a paint brush -regular one.First dip the brush in the paint and and rub the brush against the textured area of the paint tray so that the brush has no paint dripping.
STEP 5-Once you paint all four corners, start painting the entire wall with rollers and follow the same pattern of rubbing the roller on the textured area of the paint tray. Paint the walls in "W" or "V" pattern initially with the roller so as to avoid any streakiness. After that you can paint in regular up and down motions and complete the wall.
STEP 6-Remove the painters tape when the paint is half dry and touch up any areas ,that you feel require touch up ,with angle paint brush.
Now additionally what i did to add my personal touch is what you call "STENCIL PAINTING".
There are tons of options available for style's of stencils. You can buy them from +Amazon.com . I bought my stencils from Cutting Edge Stencils as well as from +Amazon.com
For Wall Stencil painting apart from the stuff mentioned above you need your Stencil and a Leveler.
For Stencil Painting the Step involved are-
STEP 1-Let Your base paint rest for 24 hours before you do stencil on it.Follow STEPS 2 and 3 from above.
STEP 4-Place the leveler on wall and draw a line with pencil.Stick one edge of painters tape on that line and tuck one edge of stencil under the other edge of painters tape.Similar secure the other end of stencil with painters tape.
STEP 5-Now dip the roller in the paint and do not forget to roll the roller against the textured part of the paint tray to avoid paint dripping .Then roll the roller on the stencil.Do not roll the roller with too much pressure .Just paint with a light hand to avoid paint seeping under the stencil and ruining the design.
STEP 6-Remove the stencil immediately and let the stencil paint dry for 3 to 4 hours and there you go, you have a completely new and improved room with your personal touch.
C

Above are the pictures of three walls i painted with different style's of stencils.
Hope you enjoyed and learned at the same time .These little things add so much to the beauty of your home.Try it and let me know how you feel about it.
That's it for this one, till my very next, enjoy your surroundings and have fun.
Cheers,
Rashi
